Sometimes, ok more often than I like to admit,
I just want to crawl into your flesh and stay.
Make a home, feel safe and protected.
When I say “I crave you”, it doesn’t always mean sex.
The craving is a longing,
A need to feel something I can’t explain.
I am more than what your eyes see,
A soul in need.
Periodically my heart pings yours
Waiting for the reply.
Sometimes, maybe more,
I want to SCREAM out loud
Are you not getting my messages?
The ones that I believe somehow
you should know,
like a mind reader.
I breathe you,
I eat, sleep and dream you.
Always in the same book,
On the same page
Same paragraph
Not always the same sentence.
I want to borrow your eyes
Just for a day
So I can see what you see.
The smell of you surrounds me
Everyday…all day…even when
You are not near.
I ask if I am “too much”
You say “just enough”
But I want to be too much
Sometimes.
I want to be too much to handle
Too much to love
Too much happy
For so long I was never enough.
I want to be in every crack and crevice
Of your mind
I want you to lose sleep over me,
Once in a while.
I want you to love me
Within the heat and passion
Of a thousand suns.
My lips miss your lips
As soon as you walk away
A hunger like no other,
Starving but patient.
I am restless
And relentless
Just the thought of you
Emotional overload.
My heart ugly cries for you
My body searches for yours
In the darkness.
Our life
SCREAMS togetherness,
yet the separation is sometimes
hard to bear.
Together we burn like flames
A giant effigy to our love
Once a spark
Now a raging inferno
Engulfing each other.
To never be duplicated
Unwavering and strong
That once in a lifetime,
Us.
Always, G.
