Rainbow
"There are billions, billions / There is one"
By THOMAS MEADLEYPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read
Rainbow
I breathe in the smell of rain,
Finding myself
Once again
In the same place
I have always been.
The rainbow hovers,
Never getting anywhere,
Never needing to.
Rain condenses itself
Into brief vessels,
Through which rays of light refract,
Becoming colour.
They are billions,
Billions;
There is one.
In the distance,
The river flows but never moves.
In the sky,
The clouds have no body.
So I was born,
Not as body or as mind
But as rain,
Rain that I will be
again.
