Rain and our love story
In twilight's tenderness, we find our place.
Where raindrops kiss the earth with gentle grace.
The sky, a canvas painted shades of gray,
Whispers secrets only hearts can say.

Each drop of a tear from the clouds above, it seems,
A symphony of longing, love’s sweet dreams.
Through dripping leaves, our shadows softly blend.
Every beat is a story without end.

Your hand in mine, a lifeline through the storm,
A shelter where my heart can safely warm up.
Raindrops dance, like memories we’ve spun,
Two souls entwined beneath the silver sun.

In every thunderclap, a heartbeat’s call,
In every silence, love’s sweet spell does fall.
Amidst the rain, we find our way, our space,
Two hearts are alight in love’s enduring grace.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
