Born a tranquil current of life on

the tides of turbulent seas— long

swirling in your maelstrom, I

cut the anchor free. Peace

reclaims the rubble

capsized in the

break of your

tempest

keep.

About the Creator

Kristen Balyeat

Words fly to me on the wind, bump into me as I'm strolling the city, splash me in the face while I rest by the river, and shake me awake in the middle of the night—I’m humbly one of the vessels they use to come to life.

Also, i love you:)

I love how the shape this poem created is also reflected In the image you used. I also love how it carries with it, the spirit of victory.

Ach, they've all beaten me to it. Powerful, melodious and beautiful writing as ever. With enough introspection to make it feel intimate and yet a universal quality to it that we can all relate to! Dammit, that sounded way too AIish. Lol. Loved your Nonet, you Non Inept writer you. See what I did there? lol.
