Quiet Nights
Slumber's Absence has come again, to wake me in the night. Freeing me from my nightmares, at the cost of my dreams.
Sleep?
It's nothing more than a wish for me-
Longing for such is the closest I've ever come
Entire nights pass over my eyes
Not a peep, except from within-
Commotion within is merely a consequence of silent surroundings
Echoes of my cry scream through quiet nights
