Questions For Later, Then & Now

How many more times can I ask myself the same questions?... over, and over, and over again.

I'm fast enough to run away, but‐

Where would I go?

Not everything I pass, stays in the past‐

And what if I crash?

What will I do?... Then?

Certainly, I'd have to stop at some point...

But I'm chasing no particular point in the future,

And everything but time, I'm taking

But to turn around to see no one chasing‐

What will I do?... Now?

Could I go back?

How?

Do I even want to?

Do I even want to know?...

If anyone knows where I am‐

No one knows where I've been‐

How can I expect them to know where I am...

Now?

I don't even know where I'm going

Or what I was running from anyway‐

Was I just running to keep up with myself?

If not even I can...

Then surely no one else can either‐

But how far could I really go?

On purely speed alone‐

How many days can I skip?

Before I'm all out‐

And if I trip...

What will I do?... Then?

It's not a race I'm trying to win

I know that

No one's chasing me

I knew that

I've gotten back up, but‐

What will I do?... Now?

I'm fast enough to run away, but‐

From what?

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
