Queen of the night Cactus
she blooms in the night.
and withers upon the light.
A rare sight, to see.

The Queen of the Night Cactus blooms once a year and is a rare sight to see. You can see it start to open in the day and by midnight it hits its peaking hours at full blossom. It remains a flower and starts to wither by morning.
The symbolism alone behind this magnificent creation reveals a message behind the eye of the Creator. Perhaps a love letter, a message in a bottle, a diamond in the rough, a foreign language only you can interpret.

Currently watching this one bloom through the night.

A gently needling from God/Christ to stay awake, pay attention, keep watch.
Oh wow, the flower sure looks beautiful although it isn't fully bloomed yet. Loved your Haiku!
I love that you're going to watch it to see it bloom. And I loved your haiku. There'll be two Queens of the Night but one will have more prickles. That will be the only difference.
This was all beautiful. The Haiku, the photo, the description of the cactus. I love cacti. This is the first time I hear about the Queen of the Night cactus. You should enter this Haiku to Ellie’s Wonderland poetry challenge.
Nature is so amazing <3
