Proud and Pure

and blah blah blah

In your world what color is the sunset and

Is there a room to rent?

Are there gardens to grow from

Or are there witches flying west

Do promises grow on trees

Is the sky filled with rainbows

That you look at upside down

I was only minding my own business

Counting cradles

Then you turned around

Never asked to step into your dream

Or burst at the seams at thoughts of

What?!

I never even asked for a hero

It was pure admiration

Is there such a thing as light-hearted

Anythings

Or is it a curse of human beings

To prefer wandering skies

Or endlessly search for the inner attribute of mankind

To give

I have living beings that I love and care for

Everything is a stand off

So this is where I get off all over you

And stop listening to the brew

Worldly worlds and sheltered hearts

Artistic temperament mirrored and I hope, so

I remain proud and pure

No matter what the outcome

Tomorrow is a better day

It's gotta be

Or time fades away
