A poem about loving yourself

... for who I’ve become.

That sounds generic and overused, but there’s no other way to describe it. There are things about me that will never change.

I’m soft-spoken,

I’m easily excitable,

and I love to laugh.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been like that. I’m just honestly a positive person. I'd be lying if I said it’s never really occurred to me.

I want the best for everyone I always have. Once I learned this, I've never stopped trying to be the person everyone needed. I wasn't there for everyone, but who I was there for, you could count on me.

People deserve to be happy and I’ve always believed as long as you’re not hurting yourself or others, then who cares what you do. It's one thing to not be a people person, but it's totally different to be a jerk. Just be happy for yourself, and then nothing will ever bother you again. Be who you are, like the things you like.

It’s common sense.
