Positive Outlooks

To think we could be so skeptic,

Act cynical and always feel that life is so hectic.

Always believing that pain lasts forever,

Not knowing we can heal ourselves together.

Fear to take the next step feeling that we could be rejected,

Never knowing what could happen if we were accepted.

Not embracing the fact one dream can change the world,

Not even having patience to see our visions unfurled.

Running in circles to hide from oneself,

Realize that this was once myself.

Never opened up to say what was wrong,

Held my hopeless feelings inside too long.

Now I got support and everything I need,

To move in a positive direction and ultimately succeed.

It is time to change this world day after day,

Even if I change one life for better it still okay.

I will not let go of this goal as so many care,

If I ever stumble and fall, people will always be there.

Help me up and give me a lift,

Needed to cross any perilous rift.
