Conversations Best Left Unsaid
(FIRST PERSON) "Hey, have you been keeping an eye on the news?"
(SECOND PERSON) "I have, but there hasn't been anything new."
(F.P.) "This year's election may bring about changes."
(S.P.)"I guess, I suppose that depends what your vote is."
(F.P.) "Will you vote blue, or will you vote red?"
(S.P.) "I'm think I'm independent," she said
(F.P.) "So, you straddle the fence?"
(S.P.) She smirked, as a defense
(F.P.) "So, you've nothing to say?"
(S.P.) She curtly responded, "No, not today
(F.P.) "I didn't mean to upset you, he said
(S.P.) She smiled and winked and then nodded her head
(S.P.) "I'll see you tomorrow, " she said, with the best intent
(F.P.) He smiled as he said, "yes ma'am, exit, stage left."
