Pointless Poetry

Poetry is pointless you see,

when it's not published it doesn't spread cheer or glee

Is it just a writer's thoughts on paper with a conclusion or two?

Tell me, does poetry mean anything to you?

Does a poet make you think of love?

or childhood poems of laughter?

Did you read it at all? Or was it too much of a bother?

Did it not matter?

But is poetry not as beautiful as a song?

If a poem is written yet not shared is it wrong?

But, if poetry was pointless, it wouldn't have a poem and it wouldn't carry meaning.

So even pointless poetry has a point and perhaps is worth learning,

So since pointless poetry teaches things that are beautifully written,

it is good to read things such as these that you ponder and sit in.

For Fun

Kaitlynn

I love to write because I believe in the bravery of putting out works to inspire. But more importantly, I believe in the bravery it takes to speak up for those whose stories deserve to be heard and truths that must be revealed.
