Poet mourn thyself
A sensational death

Is it selfish to mourn your own death, to pity that final breath, that last whiff of earthly perfume sublime?
Oh! last fateful kiss, to miss bless'd warmth of the embrace, the touch of cheek to cheek, face to face?
No more to hear lilting, lulling melody, sweet goddess Cecilia’s blessing?
Bitter, sweet, salt and sour, the heart’s desire of milk and honey, heady savour to tantalise?
Funny, how life’s candle dims, no more to see sun rise, close your eyes, do you mourn your own demise?
