How delightful, and how terrible is the sun
In summer this heavy, inescapable force
watching above all
The omniscient overseer,
No respite for the parched.
Yet clouds rain and storms only form
from the sun's enclave
And in winter - Oh so gentle, forgiving and lenient
its softer heat radiating, twinkling on the snow
reminiscing of the countless other stars,
hidden in its glare
*
The fiery keeper of time, itself curiously timeless
shall shepherd us all through the infinite
Silent as the universe and senseless as the void
An eternal truth, blinding, unforgiving
*
Join us in our praise, our selfless devotion
In fervent dedication, gaze up to the sun
and stare in agony, its divine truth etching your soul
Our eyes mere sacrifice, unworthy of its light!
Now dance and pray and sing, forever grateful
to the sun, oh so real and delightful
