I Almost Feel Bad For Her

You were my tale to tell,

*what a plot twist you were.

Knocked the wind, out of my sails,

*what a plot twist you were.

With no tears or remorse,

*what a plot twist you were.

I was just the main course,

*what a plot twist you were.

A hit and run in the making,

*what a plot twist you were.

Promises need forsaking,

*what a plot twist you were.

All the things you said, lies,

*what a plot twist you were.

Your hellos were goodbyes.

What a plot twist you were,

I was sold from the start.

The same lines, you told her,

the ones that tore me apart.

The plot twist you were,

are now the same ones I choose,

to gather my pride.

You can be her excuse.
