Poem. Social commentary.
I like
when the gun goes bang, the bomb goes boom
from the comfort of my armchair sofa in my room
(pixelated victims of our bloodlust)
when the vengence and violence fly high
from the comfort of my armchair where I lie
(pixelated victims of our bloodlust)
when the insanity makes me cry and laugh
from the comfort of my armchair in my gaff
(broadcasted visions of our vicarious lust)
when the romance wins or fails equally
from the comfort of my gas-heated residency
(semi-realist visions of our vicarious lust)
when the sex aches hard and the love
oh the love, from the comfort of my enclave
(pixelated victims of our vicarious lust)

The armchair comfort of the modern coliseum. A great reminder of the bloodlust that civilization has failed to cure and a very depressing commentary on our modern world. This is another brilliant and important poem, Paul!
