Pilgrimage

everlasting

By Alyx LennonPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

My body suspended in time, flesh lit ablaze

Charcoal scales breathing slowly

My dreams bare and laid to waste

Unsewn jaw, tongue slips out raw

I’m outside of me, observing the falling

We are everlasting, watching our unbecoming

And I will never die

I will never die

I will never die

A pilgrimage from my back, to the front

Reading these letters, clutters assumed as junk

From you, thousands of years from now

And I know I wrote them, but I can’t sort it out

Still the more you fight, the more you sink

You’ll resist, you’ll bite, before letting be

About the Creator

Alyx Lennon

My name is Alyx, I'm 20 years of age and I dropped out of High School during the final months of my senior year in 2020, this is my attempt to make things right

(A lot of what I write are lyrics I made for songs I hate that I never finished)
