My Photos app
boasts of 240,000 items.
It took up so much memory
that I had to buy cloud storage.
I was ready to pay,
despite being frugal,
because the photos are critical,
they are memories.
I am a nostalgic person,
so, raft to the past.
To that into creativity and writing,
and these images are my muse.
You won’t find selfies there,
but my children, and the garden,
my walks, and art.
Many random things too:
a fallen nest, mushrooms,
ladybug, senescent leaves,
clover, found fossils,
harvested paddy, a banana tree,
feral cats roaming free.
Photos app on my phone,
is not about fun,
it's my zen and inspiration.

You got to do what makes you happy and if keeping your photos helps in your work do it. Good job.
Same here I love my photos so much I too use cloud to store them 🦋🦋🦋🦋
We are kindred souls!! My photos are my muse also. Loved this. So many pics, sometimes it is hard to find the one I want to show someone (I'm bad at organizing them and iPhone sorts by metadata on photo on puts into the year it was taken, not when you import or snap an old developed photo). Anyway, I loved this line: so, raft to the past.
