Phone call Phoenix’s rebirth
Can you reach me by a far away telephone booth? The haiku challenge of earth, fire, air and water. DHMIS tribute poetry
By Melissa IngoldsbyPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

Red escaping, trying to reach his family trapped inside of a time loop
Air
Wind dies as I scream,
This house is depriving us of air
(I love you)

***
Earth
Why can’t you answer?
The signal is cut, grounded
Earth trembles, I run.
***
Fire
The fire swallowed you up,
I’m stuck inside the empty volcano.
***
Water
I could die in water,
As long as I hold you
Reborn, Adam’s Ale.

Beautiful piece, Melissa. Well done.
It felt like a story playing out which is really amazing based on how few words are there. I liked the nod to the show too :) Great work!
