The loyalty of the canine is unquestionable and endless. Sometimes, the poor creature doesn't realize it himself.

I wait quietly by the door

My patience has no end

My owner’s love, I implore

Him I will defend

The house is empty, silent, and bare

Within its doors, no sound;

Everything in disrepair

But I still pace around

All I pass now hesitate

And I do not understand

I always seem to agitate

Their fear I cannot comprehend

They cower, run, give chilling screams

It’s only me they see

Is it all a fleeting dream

Or is it really me?

Howling loudly Into the night

I give a mournful sigh;

Then I spot a grave by light

Within it I now lie.
