Passion Like Hurricanes
A short love poem during a rough patch
By Korinne Joy TuckPublished 6 years ago • 1 min read

kiss me in this rainstorm
the forecast looks dreary, I know
but we can get through this downpour
the thunder is deafening
the lightning, blinding
but nature knows how to make beautiful rainbows from grey skies
kiss me, baby
with passion like those of hurricanes
intensely
our strong winds are spinning in circles
but let's get dizzy and fall on to ourselves instead of becoming uprooted
let's be soaked in this ferocitiy and become warmed with what once was, again.
not sun dried, but soul dried
our hearts can shine so much brighter
so kiss me, baby
kiss me in this fucking storm
passionate, powerful, beautiful, and intense
let's show nature it ain't got shit on us.
