Paracosm

Noun. Paracosm. A detailed, prolonged imaginary world created by a child that includes human, animal, or alien creations.

Around me was the beautiful forest;

The beautiful birds chorused.

I skipped along the path;

Perhaps I could take a bath?

I knew where a river flows

That has a majestic flower that grows!

I sat next to the creek,

As I listened as it seemed to speak.

"How was your day?"

I swore I heard it say.

"It was great. The only

Problem is that it is quite lonely."

The river understood,

And told me that it would turn out good.

It told me to look for

A magical door.

Behind would behold

A woman who was young but old.

I found the door in some trees,

What the river said was not a tease.

I approached the wood,

And I could see a woman who stood.

She was pretty!

I would tell my kitty!

"Hello!" I greeted.

I felt as though my life had been completed.

She smiled at me!

I felt free!

She hold one of my hands, and the other.

Then when I looked closely, I knew that she was my dead mother.
