“Two weeks tops at home,” now it’s a year later

Laptop computers and lots of lost papers

“It’s only now just for the rest of the spring!”

These are a few of my pandemic things

Summer’s approaching, we’re still stuck at home

Eating whenever and coffee with cold foam

Every time I log on I hear my Teams ping

These are a few of my pandemic things

Now into fall, I still don’t see this ending

Thought I would see some case numbers descending

Then some companies made 2 new vaccines

These are a few of my pandemic things

All the shots here,

The end is hopefully near

Things don’t seem too bad

I simply remember my pandemic things

And then I feel oh so glad

Spring 2021, still working online

Anxious to get back to standing in long lines

I’m missing the sound of my desk phone’s rings

Summer upon us, there’s a slow return

Campus is quiet, there’s so much to relearn

I listen for students and just hear the birds sing

These are a few of my pandemic things

Slowly everyone comes back, they’re all so excited

Back into the swing of things, I’m oh so delighted

I can’t wait to see what fall 2021 brings

We got shots here

The end feels very near
