fly like a bird

or dance like the dawn

do what you want

before I’m gone

;

no, i’m not

leaving cos I got

tired of you, or just bored.

i have my reasons,

the same you do

for the performance

you did just before noon.

enjoy my applause-

i give my all

i appreciate you

just a little more

taking my leave

during the intermission

don’t blame me for

this apparition.

you are good at what you

do, you will shine

like carbon in skies

just remember to turn

on the night

for the platform is

yours with might

and if one day

someone stole

your stage

with their control

it’s not their fault

nor is it yours

and darling you will lose

your wings and your vigour

working in fields

without your demeanour

but remember, my

dear you have to find

your voice your soul

removing the binds

go own your stage

and remember to fly

you will see me once

again and again once

more i will applaud

perhaps this time

i will be louder

for the atrophied soul

that stood up stronger

and perhaps this time

i will stay till

the curtain calls.
