Overflow of the Heart
When it’s a joy, not an obligation

She possessed the gall,
to give it all,
from the depths of poverty,
she knew His true Sovereignty.
We, too, can give,
in the midst of meager resources,
throughout the course
of our lifetimes.
Luke 21:1-4 says, “And He (Jesus) looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. 3 So He said, ‘Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.’ ”
Our prayers flow when our nightmares grow thick in our sleep.
Our prayers show through warm tears, when all we feel we can do is weep.
Our prayers grow when times are rough, and we feel that we are never enough.
Our prayers blow in the winds of life’s development.
Our prayers charge us up when we are stirred in the midst of good fellowship.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, says, “16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

It’s interesting how the richest prayers often come when we feel poorest.
Those who suffer under prejudice and hate are loved by Christ. Their faith is often greater than we assume
The power of prayer transcends this clay world held by gravity, and our prayers echo in His throne room, where the least of us are enough. Amen. 😇
