Out of Sight Out of Mind

Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way - Booker T. Washington

By Natalia HermosillaPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Meldrop and octothorpe

Augend or addend

Once they had a beginning

But seem to have met an end

Obelus and agelast

Pot-valor, wrest pin

Once so very prominent

With tales they used to spin

Limerence, obdurate

Can you say, sabbulonarium

They've grown and changed and birthed anew

Years past their roots of Arcadian

This marble turns around the sun

Evolution runs the race

Generations rise then turn to dust

Foundations are replaced

History stays where it is

Though lessons aren't forgotten

Just like words once made, shall stay

No matter how uncommon.

About the Creator

Natalia Hermosilla

I'm a sponge absorbed past its limit. Spilling out messy droplets of inspiration, life experience and untamed imagination. Overly saturated in ideas I still soak despite the sensation of drowning. This is my endeavor. My love.
