Out of Darkness
Life poetry.

Deeply going into the depths of all things darkened
A journey challenging the mind and the soul
Not hearing the voices of those who harkened
Stuck inside looking out, like fish from a bowl
In the deep darkness, you only feel rain
Desperately hoping for someone to see
Nothing about the downpour ever washes away the pain
The world around never allows some to just be
Scream not into the night
For it brings them all to bear
Such things should make you embrace flight
As your demons appear from thin air
Suffer alone and in silence, and it all comes around one day
Pay the price for your hubris, you will
Looking around, and there's nothing good for you to say
Somewhere in your time, the world began to stand still
Entered it cold, screaming and alone
Nobody there, not left, nor goodbyes to say
Hell, you could escape with just the ring of a phone
Quiet you stayed, intent to stay until the final day
Not out of darkness
Rather, at home

Well done! the pictures encapsulate the themes of darkness.
Jason, after reading, I hid under my blankie! Well done.
So unnerving in the very best way, and those photos you incorporated perfectly matched the tone and brought it all together! Awesome work!
Very intense and emotive! Great job.

Jason, I’ve just read an update from your brother on your GoFundMe. I’m so sorry for what is happening to you. I’ve donated again but I understand that this is just a drop in the bucket of what you need. I’ll share the link again everywhere I can.
Well written, congrats 👏
Jason, this was so deep into despair. I hope your soul feels sunshine very soon. Hugs.
Until even darkness fades away. I could sit with this one a while, Jason.
