Out East, My Knowledge Fails
For Unfiltered Challenge. It's a poem.

Goodbye?
tears and sweat, I require.
Are tears and sweat too much to ask for? Are they really? I think...
.
..
…
not. Tears are not too much to ask, unless you have some weird (no judgement here) tear duct issue
and have to spray your eyes with water like you're a caged bird or something.
I dunno.
How do you solve a problem like impossibly dry tear ducts?
When Beaches and Good Will Hunting won't do the trick.
(We all know the scene - his abs make me cry and sweat equally, maybe? definitely)
I appreciate tears and sweat, it's what I live for.
Wouldn't catch Stephen King saying that...or maybe he would? Who can tell?
I've not read Stephen King on Writing
I doubt I'd read Paul Stewart on Writing either, though.
Just please give me your tears and sweat. I'd settle for laughter and anger, though.
I'm not that fussy.
Attention, attention.
No announcement to make here, I was just highlighting what I really want.
Really.
Honestly.
Attention, Attention, this time I have an announcement.
Give me attention. No more than necessary
but a darn sight more than you'd give that weird uncle
that only shows up at weddings, funerals and other gatherings.
You know the one. We all know "him".
If you are that weird uncle reading this right now -
Hello.
.
..
…
I don't really have control over how you interpret anything I say
I can lead you with the breadcrumbs but can't expect you to eat the witch.
But I wish for nothing more than you to imagine me with three fingers down and the other two up
directed towards the general area of the universe as a whole. Like a fart from the OGs - MP.
Just like Old Tom, "out east, my knowledge fails"
Beyond my maternal motherland Bel Paese
lies a world yet unexplored and understood
by this humble man with a small h.

Thanks for reading!

Hahah! Honestly, I feel like they set this challenge just to see how deep you'd dive into your own mind and what craziness you'd share with us!! 😅
“I can lead you with the breadcrumbs but can't expect you to eat the witch.” Weirdly wonderful line! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the challenge and creating such great entries!! I’m terrified of it…
Those jars - then... I wondered where the hell this is going! I am inconceivably the child who could not cry. I had to have an operation if you wanted an answer! Ha ha - bet you didn't expect an answer. This was so good. Loving these consciousness streaming poems! Well done - yours was really different!
I sure knew you would have some interesting entries for this challenge 😇😁❤️
A poem within many poems it seems to me. Great work.
Your favourite - not mine, challenge-wise. Please bring back acrostics!
Just wanted to let you know that I really don't have enough superlatives to praise you. I think I've used up all my best words, and I don't want to keep repeating myself. But truly, I want you to know that I genuinely appreciate your work Mr Paul Stewart!! 👏
Nice...and SK's book on writing isn't too bad, either.
“Attention, attention. No announcement to make here, I was just highlighting what I really want.” - Ya mischief maker Paul! Calm ya farM!! 🤪 That & “hello” tickled my fancy. I haven’t looked at all the links yet. Should I? I don’t know. I don’t like being told what to do. Peace out ✌️
I have veryyyyy short attention span, so I can't give you that. Tears and anger, that I can give, I have plenty. Sweat, I could, but no, it's just too gross, lol. Loved your poem!
