Our Day of Hollering

Poem

By K.A. SmithPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

It was made yesterday.
But what about today!
That's probably what she'll say
Tomorrow.
With bright eyes in the morning,
Adorning
On behalf of love...
MLK holiday,
The swearing in.
How to stand here
Trying to find ideas to
Make news for me,
For her eye to see,
Yesterday.
Which is jumping, still.
Overworked by the idea.
The come upings,
Both of them.
All of them,
A rally.

This is really cool! I love how it flows between past, present, and future—it’s got such a reflective vibe. Feels like a mix of thoughts and emotions coming together.
