Other People Feel This Too

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 10 days ago 2 min read

Verse 1

Some nights the weight gets heavy,

And the world feels far too wide.

You’re holding things in silence

That you’ve never said outside.

But there’s a truth that keeps on rising

When the darkness starts to move—

The ache inside your chest

Is something someone else knows too.

Chorus

Sometimes the most healing thing

Is whispering it through—

Other people feel this too.

We’re not alone in the shadows,

We’re not alone in the blue.

If you forget how loved you are,

Let this remind you true—

Other people feel this too,

And you are so loved.

Verse 2

We all have quiet battles,

We all have hidden scars.

We all have nights we wonder

If we’re seen for who we are.

But somewhere in the distance

Someone’s walking with your pain—

And knowing that can soften

What you thought you had to brave.

Chorus

Sometimes the most healing thing

Is whispering it through—

Other people feel this too.

We’re not alone in the shadows,

We’re not alone in the blue.

If you forget how loved you are,

Let this remind you true—

Other people feel this too,

And you are so loved.

Bridge

So breathe a little deeper,

Let the truth come shining in—

We’re stitched together quietly

By the hearts that understand.

And every time you falter,

Someone else is faltering too—

And love is in the knowing

That we’re all just making do.

Verse 3

So when the night grows louder

Than the strength you think you’ve got,

Remember there are others

Who have stood right where you walk.

And if you feel forgotten,

Let this song hold you above—

You are not alone here,

You are so, so loved.

Final Chorus

Sometimes the most healing thing

Is whispering it through—

Other people feel this too.

We’re not alone in the shadows,

We’re not alone in the blue.

If you forget how loved you are,

Let this remind you true—

Other people feel this too,

And you are so loved.

Outro

So let your heart keep beating

In its brave and tender truth—

You’re not alone, not now, not ever—

Other people feel this too.
