Other lives

Other lives, in far-off lands,

With stories and struggles we understand.

People with dreams, just like us,

With joys and sorrows, and love and lust.

Families and friends, with ties that bind,

Memories and laughter, and moments to mind.

A world of laughter, and tears, and pain,

Where love and hope, are not in vain.

Other lives, with battles fought,

And victories won, with wars fought.

With heroes, who stand up for what’s right,

And fight for justice, with all of their might.

Other lives, with different views,

With beliefs, and customs, so fresh and new.

A world of diversity, and different ways,

Where each one’s voice, is heard in the fray.

Other lives, we may never know,

But still, they are ours, in a world that’s so.

For we are all, a part of this earth,

And we share, the same fate and birth.
