Waves in the sky
Waves in the sea
.
Shells in the sand
Offerings of mystery
.
And as one looks upon
that transition of sky and sea
.
Does one also see
Opportunity?
.
Rolling in on cascading waves
Depositing new sets of jewelry
.
For the beachcombers
to fetch for window sills
.
Back home viewports into
Their own possibilities
.
With precisely placed seashells
Calmly offering a reminder
.
Of their, all to infrequent,
Time at the sea

Had an opportunity to break away from work with family in the Charleston SC area. The concept of the poem came from insights from my second son a day after his 30th birthday. Thanks for reading and supporting.
