Operation Cleanse
A free verse poem about the kind of reality we live in and how our world would be without any chaos.
If the world
was neat and spotless
without any emotional trash,
everyone would feel
as fresh as washed fruits and veggies.
The world
is a foul place
from time to time,
because of all
the psychological rubbish
that’s constantly being thrown
at others.
If the world
was like an immaculate, luxurious mansion,
people would always
be hopping and bopping
in joy and contentment.
The world we reside in
is like a dilapidated house
that’s so stinky and filthy
that people are always
tip-toeing in fear and worry.
The world
needs a serious
operation cleanse.
After the massive clean up,
we’d be squeaky clean,
no deaths, no casualties, no emotional scars, no illnesses.
