One With Blue

My thoughts and feelings, they do, I know

Extend beyond this flesh and bone.

They float away, some forthright, some lazy

Some in clear focus, and others just hazy.

If only I could see those thoughts, these feelings

Like colours, all around, as they floated and left me.

Would I take greater care, if I could see the murk or the clarity?

Would I feel more my place in this disconnected reality?

I think of the sky and the water so blue

And yet, up close, one can just see through.

A glass of water or air has no colour at all

And yet there, surrounding me, is the blue of it all.

And that's when I realize, my thoughts are the blue.

The blue is in me and the blue is in you.

Our thoughts, our feelings, those wavelengths they leave us

And scatter and form the water beneath us.

And the sky above us.

And their beauty astounds me.

The blue is one with me, and I am one with blue.
