We are quite small, are we not?
Specks on a spinning marble
And just beyond our blue sphere
The universe is so vast
Right before I fall asleep
I squeeze your hand, you squeeze mine
Our capacity to love
Is what makes us singular
Among all the night sky’s stars

You encompass the vastness of the universe so powerfully here—that beautiful smallness we humans exist as and within is such a phenomenon. Amazing work!
From start to finish…. A gorgeous poem… such dramatic contrasts.💖
I love the small action in the vastness.
Beautifully captured the deep love. Loved it!
Absolutely beautiful poem, describing how we all are a blurb on the radar. Well done!!!
Our capacity to love, I especially loved that!
this is definitely my favorite entry to this challenge so far, DK. Filled with awe, warmth and love. The sense of joy that such moments bring positively radiates from it!
So simple but so wonderful, D.K.! You paint such a lovely image with your words!
Oh, this was just perfect.
Absolutely magical, D.K. You capture the incomparable depth of love, even while reflecting on the unknowable vastness of the universe we are adrift in. Paradoxical, enchanting, and perfect! This one's a winner, in my book. :)
Just gorgeous DK!! I love the atmosphere and simplicity of this beautiful message!
This is gorgeous. Well done.
Ah, that's got all the elements hasn't it? The intimacy, the timelessness, the smallness, the broadness. Bloody marvellous!
Have you won the challenge? I mean, you've gotta be close. I'm nervous now lol. What I mean to say, DK is this is so beautiful, so eloquent and made the old romantic in me smile.
