Emaciated child, starved by design
Eviscerated, by malicious lies
Oppressed, by occupiers without spines
Who slaughter innocents with barren eyes
*
Your mangled bodies, buried beneath greed
Deaths weaponized, for bureaucratic gains
Their soldiers laugh, committing awful deeds
Like sniping children, just for seeking grain
*
Oh, Palestine, I hear your weary cries
The world is slowly waking from the veil
Revealing truths, attempted genocide
Your suffering soon ends, justice will prevail
*
Though enemies refuse to heed your pleas
Dear Palestine, one day, you will be free

oof! Another successful gut-punch that ends with a hint of light at the end of the tunnel. Hope they reach it soon.🙏
Poignantly expressed, Kenny. Well done!
There are times I think about the victims, especially the children, and I cannot breathe. I cannot imagine what hell they feel. Your equal meters resonate with my own reverbing thoughts... Never forget this evil... No tears or prayers will erase it. 💧
I hope they would be free one day too 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Such an emotional poem and I loved it!
Such a heartbreaking piece that really sheds light on what's happening in Palestine in so few words. Excellent work, Kenny.
The world is an evil place :(
This was heartbreaking. There’s so much going on in the world right now that I don’t agree with, and the genocide in Palestine is at the top. I just don’t know what to do when any time that you talk about it, you’re called “antisemitic” for being against Israel’s atrocities. I’m not saying this because I’m against Jewish people; I’m saying it because I don’t think that this should happen to anyone. Is that so hard to understand?
