once upon a time

Today, we started writing a new story

and suddenly everything changed

the old pencil marks are still there

shadows left after an eraser wiped them away

this sequel is shaping up to be

better than the original

broken hearts can be stiched back together

slowly, then all at once

that's how it happened for me

it's unexpected, happiness

and the way it creeps up on you

so suddenly

a spell that comes over you
