Once upon a pond
there lived some toads
by the snakes have they been reigned upon
''and now they shall be free''
said one brave little toad
whose family was forced to flee
The hardship and the struggle were real,
the slithery snakes used to eat toads for there meals
which eventually made the little toad's heart of steel
this became a situation which they now MUST deal
now they have to fight and make the snakes kneel
enough have they suffered
now there lives must be free
victory shall prevail
and everyone shall see

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
