On Taking

PHILOSOPHICAL POETRY

By Leah Hicks Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Your job is to eat the worms and feed the flesh.

With your instinct and knowledge, you will fill a box of fruit only for it to blow up.

There is a seesaw effect between win and loose, for it entails boulders of fairness.

Taking what is not meant for you as it leads to turmoil, irritation, sadness, and grief.

Goes against the walls of fire.

When you receive what is surely given to you then can fulfill your wishes.

When it is not yours and to have it would be untrue.

Awareness of the arrow for it will turn direction.

Only with the initial thought or action do you feel satisfied.

Stealing value of a ring, honour sacred vows.

I am choosing to write poetry as I have to keep learning and developing my psyche hopes to help someone along the way. By using my mind and the use of metaphor is another way I can describe the invisible.
