On Dignity

PHILOSOPHICAL POETRY

By Leah Hicks Published 5 years ago 1 min read

When you judge shame or scorn, another a barrel of oil pours into the sea.

Broken glass and shattered scars, beaten until death with knives and stones.

Salvation can be found in the mirror, the reflection of your mates.

Dignity is the essence of life that is built on truth.

Like a bird in flight as to a snake in the grass, we all have the same presence.

Pure feathers that soar, the smell of the flawlessness.

Walking with perseverance and purpose allows the companion to grow.

When a shadow uses his voice the sharpness bleeds the chirp.

Better are the masks of colour.
