I am at home

My mind,

my peace I reach for no one

The surroundings do not hold me

The sounds which follow me, The words which make me feel like I belong. Do not come from others

They rise from my heart, and to myself, I hold on

The waves and the empty beach leave me alone with just me.

I can dance in the ocean breeze, so happy to be free, and home with me.

My body

My house.

My inner joy soothes the storms and temporarily erases the bad dreams which are my past.

All caused by following the lead of others. Not thinking like a shadow following blindly and attached.

But when I break free and govern my own fate

I am at home
