The ever-turning cycle.

(Rebirth)
From old roots, new growth.
Anchored in mother-earth’s soil,
Kept safe and well fed.
~
Now comes the storm clouds.
Pregnant with promise of rain.
Cleansing what’s been hurt.
~
It brings with it wind.
Swells of discarnate power.
Fanning flames of death.
~
Fire tears it all down.
Mourn not. In its wake rises,
Life sinless and new.
About the Creator
Algernon Locke
Amateur writer powered by cheese and unholy spite. I like writing fiction. What kinds? All kinds! Poetry, stories, songs. I'm still finding my place in the literary world. With reader critiques and feedback, I hope to learn and grow.
