Oh ye people of the west!

Through the darkness, through the shadows,

Through the stormy way of ice,

Through the crushing of ancient tyranny,

Through the blood that paid the price,

Through the liberation of shackles,

Through the breaking of the unjust chain,

Through the songs written to inspire hope,

Through the scorn of the scoffers disdain,

Through the fight against unjust laws,

Through the storms across the Atlantic sea,

Through the sudden surprise attack from our enemies,

Through the stir of what would be,

Through the declarations of atrocities,

Through the fight of the cold wars sin,

Through the injustices and prejudices,

Through the dream not bound by the color of skin,

Through the terror in the old world,

Through the new world that is surely blest,

Stand firm and be strong,

Oh ye people of the west!
