Be quiet, and take a rest!
It’s time to think
Be a source of peace.
It’s time to listen
Be a source of comfort
It’s time to learn
Be a source of observation.
We talk so much
For we have much to say
We talk so much
For our knowledge, we must impart.
We talk so much
For our loved ones we want on the straight path
But in times when there is much to say
Our silence is the best gift to give.
It is through our silence
We listen to the cries of those we love
It is through our silence
We offer a comforting hug.
It is through our silence
We see that actions stand truer than words
And it is through our silence
We safeguard our whole being.
We will find that quiet times also bring happy times
It’s in a quiet time we hear the birds sing
While the blossoms bloom
The fragrance is carried by the whispering wind.
It’s in a quiet time we enjoy treasured moments
When our bodies caress another
And observe that beautiful face
After that passionate kiss.
And it’s in a quiet time
We calm ourselves
We obtain our innermost peace
And create the greatest masterpiece.
The epiphany of revelations is obtained
When our lips are sealed
Many a squabble has been resolved
In a moment’s choice, a shift of mind - a closed mouth.
We can differ the truth from imitation’s guise
As silence unveils what’s genuine and wise
“There is a time for everything under the sun”
Give silence its time.
