Oh Listen, You Are a Star
A Poem of Inner Light and Quiet Strength

Oh listen, you are a star, so bright,
A candle burning in the darkest night.
You walk the earth but light the sky,
With dreams too vast to let them die.
They may not cheer when you begin,
But stars don’t wait for crowds to win.
You rise with grace when none applaud,
A silent storm, a gift of God.
In quiet moments, doubt may creep,
Like restless wolves that stalk your sleep.
But every scar you wear with pride
Tells tales of battles fought inside.
You’ve stood alone, you’ve felt the cold,
But still, your story must be told.
You shine not just when all is well—
You shimmer in the depths of hell.
For stars are born in clouds of dust,
From shattered hopes, from broken trust.
You’ve fallen low, but rose anew,
With strength the sky itself once knew.
Oh listen, child of distant flame,
You never needed earthly fame.
The night is vast, the silence wide,
But still your light refuses to hide.
When others doubt the things you see,
Just smile and burn more brilliantly.
They might not grasp your inner fire,
But stars exist to climb up higher.
You guide the lost who never speak,
And mend the hearts too hurt to seek.
You warm the world with unseen rays,
And light up long-forgotten ways.
Even when no one knows your name,
You glow within, a steady flame.
For stars are measured not in praise,
But how they brighten endless days.
So walk your path with lifted head,
Let silence be your crown instead.
Don’t fear the void, the ache, the scars—
The dark exists to show the stars.
You’re not too late, you’re not too small,
There’s space for you above us all.
You’re made for more than just to try—
You were born to kiss the sky.
Your light might flicker now and then,
But it will rise in time again.
No wind, no storm can steal the spark
That waits within your quiet heart.
So take a breath and start to soar,
There’s something great you’re shining for.
You are not weak, you are not far—
Oh listen now…
You are a star.
