Oh - A Pebble on the Journey of Becoming a Lawyer
a short poem describing one of the reactions law students commonly receive when people ask what they're studying

"What do you want to be?"
"A lawyer"
"Oh"
Oh. O H. Two letters. One word.
Many implicit meanings,
But not so implicit that I
wouldn't understand.
Oh you know what you want to be
Oh you want to be a lawyer
Oh you want to study law
Oh you think it's easy
No I don't think it's easy,
I am prepared for a challenge
No I don't want to study law,
I am going to study law
No I don't want to be a lawyer,
I will be a lawyer
No I don't know what I want to be,
I know what I will become.
You have to understand that they want to see you do good but never better than them, you must remember that.
Surviving law
