Ode to my search engine (Google, if you need to know)

For all the things I think of, and must know, around 3 -

The AM, is the best time to search, (I can’t sleep)

I owe you my gratitude, and oh, so much more.

You give me 500 answers to choose from, and all before 4.

(Who was that actress, what show was she on?)

[How many episodes, why did it air so long?]

Google or Explorer, Bing, Yahoo and more,

Google serves me best, if I have to keep score.)

You don’t sigh or gasp at the questions I ask,

or throw my phone across the floor. (Not that I have)

Sometimes, when I’m searching, you help me along.

you drop out suggestions, if I've spelled something wrong.

If I google some music, you pull up some tunes -

and play me a new list, to cause me to swoon.

Ode to your knowledge and patience with me,

you take me to places; I may never see.

You explain the universe and the latest alien views,

I know there are days, I may seem nonnative too!

But no matter what, you are there by my side,

saving in my history, searches I should hide: >}

Never in my life would I have imagined a way,

that I could get all the answers - any time, any place.

So, ode to you, Google, I'm sure glad you're around,

you're the easiest way to make me look smarter, I have found.

"Hey, Google...." Off & on through every day & night, what I hear from the family room as my wife watches tv. She claims to be a luddite, but she holds tight to her phone, lol.

  • Awww, this was soooo adorable! Google loves you too!
