Obscured

Lost Among Lights

By Sahasra ReddyPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

In the beautiful dark,

Million dazzling stars reside,

And fill the empty sky.

High above the city lights,

Where none can see them again,

Look down and gaze upon humanity.

If the stars could speak,

I would ask all million,

A million questions.

Does the city look beautiful up there?

Do you ever feel lonely?

High in the sky?

Do the clouds shield you from witnessing the harsh reality?

Do you ever wish that you can be seen again?

And all that lights disappear forever?

Do you miss the wishes of dreamers?

Before you were drowned out by the neon?

Of a million fake versions of you?

Maybe one day when the world sleeps,

And the city lights are less brighter and dim,

You can shine to your fullest.

I liked it. City folks can't even see the stars. How sad! Let's write on issues we see.
