O my soul! O my soul!
Worship thy Holy name,
Breathe in my breath of life
Open your eyes to this world
Blessed be your soul,
Populate this Earth with children,
Teach them of your creator.
I am your creator
O Lord! O Lord!
Look how they grow,
They want to learn and to know
They are created in our image,
Look at them Lord!
O Lord! O Lord!
The inevitable has come,
Their will has grown and defiled their minds
They are no longer whole and pure
O how can I fix this,
O what is the cure?
O Lord! O Lord!
I shall walk amongst them,
Teach them, in your image
That I am with them,
That I am the way!
O Lord! O Lord!
Let us go prepare
O Lord, O Lord!
Steady my hands, steady my hands
So I can heal thy wounds from their sins
O Lord! O Lord!
Steady my legs, steady my legs
So I can stand on my feet again!
Thy flesh burns from the ends of the whips,
Each time they rip away, I wince and shake
Screaming and screaming inside of my head
These are the sins of my children!
Their blood is mine, as mine is theirs!
May this awaken their hearts to their Father O’ Lord!
O Lord, O Lord,
What have I done,
I cannot see your grace,
Nailed to these beams now bleeding into the Earth!
The pathway to Heaven, embedded in an old rugged cross...
I am your only begotten son!
Where have you gone?!
O Lord! O Lord!
It’s time for me to stretch out thy wings,
Across the width and height of these old rugged beams
Hear my cries,
Listen to my aching heart,
Do not forsake them,
They just have a broken heart...
O Lord, my father
My father forgive them for they know not what they do,
I am accepting their sins, so that I can save them
Allow me to conquer their death,
For these are my children, and I love them unconditionally
As you love me...
Open the gates when you see me rise!
O Lord! O Lord!
Ease my soul, ease my soul
So I can find you once more
Because now I hold the sins of the World,
Please, please pass this cup from me…
O Lord! O Lord!
Victorious once more
I hold the keys yet again,
Let my people come in!
Let them hear the sounding trumpet
They have endured their world for far too long
Let them come home, to the Heaven that they belong
O Lord! O Lord!
Here are thy children,
Each of them beautiful
Each of them created by my hand,
Breathing the air, I breathed into them
Let us welcome them home,
Let the angels sing of praise, as each of them enter through the gates
Welcome home my children, Welcome home.
