There's nothing in this world I can do

But fall apart in front of you.

I'm confused.

So young, so old

So cautious, so bold.

So painfully alone.

I don't know what to do.

.

When you have a problem

You call Auntie Sue.

She gives advice, but tells you to seek

Further help from Cousin June.

(She minored in the subject in school,

So she'll know what to do.)

.

When you speak, the problem is solved,

This guidance at your beck and call.

But I'm army crawling, here in line,

Horribly inept, but out of time

To learn the things I need to know.

"Sorry, hun, but weren't you shown?"

Leaning on ghosts

Of what could have been,

I pack my bags

To leave home again.
